Description

This is from an art-purging fire that my group from performance and installation held this past Saturday. I made the torso out of plaster gauze, plaster of paris, and wood stain. I thought it looked very nice in the dark, on the fire. It's all about purging the way we used to be and the things we used to let define ourselves.

Burning art? Sounds like fun!

This picture is definitely something else. I don't think I've ever seen burning art before. Or maybe the plaster piece you created is only one half of the art and fire makes up the other half - Like the plaster was a raw sketch and the flames were the colourful brush strokes that brought it to life. That's what makes it so original in my opinion.

Plus fire. Fiiiiiiiire :psychotic:
